Current Trends: Spring Summer 2014

Since I love not having to wear six layers squelching around in the pissing rain, I'm happy to state that Summer's just around the corner, which means longer days, warmer weather and of course, Spring/Summer fashion trends. I know, I know, there are numberless of delightful trends we can identify this season and it can be hard to narrow them down to just a few that are worth trying. That said, in the interest of catering to the material girls inside all of us (and giving myself a good excuse to indulge in my favourite past time: browsing the shops), I've put together a list of the coolest fashion trends and runway inspired high street pieces to try out this season.

Art House

Prada

Celine

Chanel

Jil Sander

It's not the first time fashion has been referred to as wearable art and for this season designers took the phrase literally. From Prada's Diego Rivera inspirations to Jil Sander's Kandinsky-esque prints, this trend will push your style boundaries. Get your daily dose of attention with some of my favourite artsy pieces.

Pastels in the springtime aren't exactly a novel idea, are they? But when the flowers are blooming and the Earth feels fresh again who doesn't want to wear a palette that reminds them of flagrant blossoms, cotton candy and all things lovely? Plus, now you can find these colours in some sharp, edgy pieces that you won't be able to resist. Pair them up with bright coloured lips for instant glamour. For starters, take a peek at these pastel delights.
